| Xanga, Xanga, Xanga. It has been too long and too much has happened since I last posted. Most of you know what has been going on in my life so I won't go back over the gorey details. The good news is mom is doing well, grandma is home again (and terribly happy to be there), and I am busy as usual. Thanks to everyone for all of your support through some of the most difficult times I have ever faced. I feel like my entire family is growing stronger and stronger everyday.
On a lighter note my 23rd birthday was a huge success. We had a mexican themed murder mystery party with 12 people at Jeff and Macey's house. It was so much fun and I think everyone enjoyed themselves. I cannot believe how quickly a year has flown by. What is even crazier is that GU graduation is so increadibly soon. It really doesnt seem like it has been a year since I walked across that stage... and yet it does. Things are great in life and I am so happy with where I am. Wish me luck in the job hunt. I know it will all come together. | | |
| I miss xanga! I wish I would have more time in my life and also more going on in my life that I could write more often. I just got home from Branson this weekend with my mom, sister and her friend. It was interesting to say the least, but I had a great time. Other then that the big thing in my life is that once I am done with my portfolio (hopefully today) I will officially be a college graduate. That's right folks...I actually did it. That leaves me pretty bored staying at home all day. I am going to have to find something to keep me occupied all day. I am thinking about making my mom a scarf so maybe that will help with the boredom...at least a little. I am excited for this Thursday because I will finally have people to hang out with. My sister is coming home and bringing Cassie and Amanda Land!!!! Yay for fun times with fun friends. I can hardly wait! Well, I think i'm going to go be lazy before I get to work. Have a wonderful finals week you college lovers! | | |
| Oh My Gosh! What's up with me? I have missed xanga a lot recently. I cannot believe that student teaching is almost over, I've had a real life interview already and am about to be thrown face first into the real world. My kids are wonderful and I will miss them so much. I honstly cannot believe that it is almost over. Also this weekend my ex-boyfriend is getting married. i pretty much cannot believe it. everyone is growing up and becoming adults. how strange is life. i'm ready for the holidays. happy turkey day everyone! | | |
| Just got a new phone for free. Got a beautiful pedicure tonight,
it felt awesome! I dont really like parent teacher
confrences. It actually makes me more tired then being with the
kids. Its only weird because I didnt go in today until
noon. Maybe that 11 hour day is still weighing on my.
Luckily tomorrow I will be done before noon. Pleanty of time to
take a nap. My parents are leaving to go on vacation for a whole
week. That means i have to be the acting mom for my sister.
it should be interesting. i guess it just means that i dont get
to do anything that i want to. hopefully it will rush by. i
am so excited for GU homecoming. it will be soooo nice to have a
weekend to just play and enjoy being with my friends. i miss
them. also if any ladies want to hang out in kc for fall break
that's coming up let me know so i can chill with you. I miss the
kids!

| Well, I'm about to start my 2nd week as a teacher. Beginning tomorrow I am teaching spelling and doing the morning work for when the students come in. I am so excited to keep doing more and more with my cute little kids. I had my first real person weekend and it was really fun, but I was pretty much a lame-o. On Friday night Aaron Twombly came in town and so me and him and Jeff and Tracy all went out mini-golfing and to get ice cream at Sonic. I got free ice cream which rocked (b/c sonic took so long). Then we went back to Jeff's house to play games and Jesse and Amanda came over. As soon as they got there I went to lay on the couch and fell asleep for the next hour and a half, which ironically was when Jesse and Amanda left. I felt pretty bad, but I was so tired. Then Aaron, Tracy and I all had a slumber party at Jeff's. We probably stayed up another 30 minutes just talking. I went home Saturday morning and watched TV at home for awhile. Then I went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch with my family and thought of Rachel (even though it was a different store). At 4 I went back to Jeff's and went with him to his families b-day party for the month of Sept. It was really fun, but I ended up going to bed at 11:00 again that night. Then today I had to get up super early b/c I am beginning my CCLP payback time. I am helping with the children's choir and possibly taking it over in a year or so. It was really fun. We also had a potluck after church which is my favorite. Today I have just been watching football all day. Sounds silly, but its actually pretty fun and I'm learning a lot. I'm very excited about going back to school tomorrow, I have missed my kids. They are really so great and I know that it is going to be an awesome semester, and I will probably be really sad to leave. I have also begun to meet some of the teachers. There are at least 2 brand new teachers and at least 2 more that are under 25 or 26 so I am excited about hopefully making some friends down here so I dont feel so lonely without Hanthorne. I miss all of my Hanthorne ladies so much! I hope that everyone is doing so great and I cant wait to see you all again at Homecomming. And, if you need a weekend off come visit me, I promise I will show you a good time. One other thing I would like to say before I go. I dont really like this whole facebook thing. I have a feeling that it means that xanga is on the out. I know that I can get facebook too, but I really love xanga. I hope that you will all keep posting and loving xanga with me! | | |
